Dr. Zubin Damania (AKA ZDoggMD) is an internist and founder of Turntable Health, an innovative model of Health 3.0. Apart from producing award-winning videos that educate and entertain, Dr. Z is a highly sought-after thought leader and healthcare speaker whose keynotes are customized to teach and inspire. His live performances provide entertaining, powerful insights on issues such as burnout in healthcare, finding a voice in a broken system, technology and medicine, team-based collaborative care models, and the innovative use of social media to influence and inspire much-needed transformation individually and collectively.
Dave Willis is the Senior Vice President for The Academy’s Center for Transformation. The Center houses The Academy’s programming, events, and research for CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CMOs, and CHROs. In this role, Dave sets strategy for the Center in support of The Academy’s growth. He leads a team of researchers and consultants who are collectively responsible for ensuring The Academy’s CXO programs feature the industry’s most compelling content, speakers, and learning experiences for seniormost executives at the country’s leading health systems. He also contributes thought leadership through research, speaking, and advisory services.
Prior to joining The Academy, Dave spent more than 25 years as an executive and a management consultant, including 15 years in health care advising on strategy development and execution. As a parent of two children with special needs, he is also extremely passionate about the issues of care coordination and patient experience.
Dave’s other passions include traveling, craft beer, crossword puzzles, and baseball. He is currently working on a book about the greatest teams in baseball history. Originally from the Boston area, Dave currently resides in Northern Virginia, but remains a diehard Red Sox fan (though he has learned to pronounce the letter “r").
Angie Franks joined ABOUT as CEO in 2017, bringing with her a strong reputation for transformational leadership and a proven track record of increasing revenue, driving new market growth, and building high-performance teams. Before joining ABOUT, Angie spent 30 years in the healthcare technology space, holding leadership positions with a number of prominent healthcare firms, including The Advisory Board Company, Lawson Software, Healthland, and GeoAccess. She currently serves on the boards of Medical Alley; the Pinky Swear Foundation for children with cancer; and the United Hospital Foundation; she previously chaired the ABOUT board of directors.
Darin Vercillo co-founded ABOUT, drawing upon his expertise in developing and implementing medical information systems specifically designed to manage complex patient needs, medical education, and faculty and staff logistics. A board-certified hospitalist practicing in the Salt Lake City area, Darin also served as a clinical advisor and technical developer at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. Previous to his work at ABOUT, Darin served as a physician knowledge engineer and interim Chief Medical Officer at TheraDoc.
