Sarah Jimenez is the Clinical IT Manager at Artesia General Hospital, a healthcare facility committed to providing state-of-the-art healthcare services to the Southeastern New Mexico region. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Sarah has worked in various capacities ranging from hands-on nursing to Clinical Informatics. In 2015, Sarah transferred to the IT Department of Artesia General Hospital to oversee the implementation of TruBridge in all departments and clinics of the hospital. She played a key role in integrating several applications unique to each specialty into the system, ensuring that the hospital had a unified electronic medical record (EMR) system. This move not only improved the efficiency of the hospital's operations but also enhanced patient care by streamlining the medical records of patients across different departments. In addition to implementing TruBridge, Sarah has also played a significant role in implementing various applications specific to specialties such as Wound Care, Oncology, Gastroenterology, and the most recent rollout of AI for clinical documentation. The AI system is designed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of clinical documentation, reducing the time healthcare professionals spend on documentation and allowing them to focus more on patient care. Sarah's exceptional dedication to her work has been recognized by her colleagues, who awarded her the People's Choice Award. Furthermore, the New Mexico Board of Nursing nominated her for a Nursing Excellence award, a testament to her commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. Outside of work, Sarah is a proud mother of three children and a grandmother to two grandchildren and a grand dog. She is passionate about giving back to her community and has been actively involved in various community service projects. During her free time, Sarah enjoys taking vacations with her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren, whom she loves to dote on.
