Karen Scott, MEd, RHIA, CCS-P. CPC, FAHIMA is the Director of Education and Training at TruCode/TruBridge Encoder. She has taught HIM programs for many years at several universities and has also worked as an HIM director in an acute care hospital. She previously served AHIMA as Director on the AHIMA Board of Directors and AHIMA Foundation Board of Directors. Karen has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Health Information Management Association. She teaches seminars throughout the country and has written numerous coding textbooks
